In February RCGD was awarded the contract to design the new grass greens at the Karratha Golf Club in Western Australia's Pilbera region.

The club currently have sand scrapes however plans are in place to design the new grass greens and also make some modifications to the layout of holes too.

The Karratha site was a terriffic surprise to the designer as it sits on lovely rolling sand dunes with a northly aspect looking over the Indian Ocean. The current layout of golf holes is quite good and really only requires a minor tweak to establsigh some gorgeous new golf holes.

The process is continuing through a concept phase with the club and the Shire of Roebourne and it is antcipated to move into more detailed design works soon.

The golf course has enormous potential and likely to ensure Karratha is well worth a visit.
